Operation 36 is a long-term developmental program designed for golfers of all skill levels and all ages. Operation 36 is a RESULTS-BASED model, where students have clear goals, tailored tracking systems and a community to learn the game of golf with, better than ever before.
In 2025, Operation 36 Students at MCG averaged 6.5 strokes off their scores in official 9-Hole Events.

Operation 36 Top 50 & Master Coach:
MCG’s Operation 36 Program was recognized as one of the top programs in the country!
Coach Brent Wilkerson (MCG Lead Instructor at Falls Road) was awarded as a Top 50 Coach in 2023 & 2024.
In 2025, Coach Brent was honored with becoming one of Operation 36’s Master Coaches (Operation 36’s Hall of Fame for coaches).
Course Record Scoreboard:
Operation 36 celebrates success! We record and recognize our best performances over the years with our Course Record Scoreboard. These are the best scores shot for each level of Operation 36 at any MCG course (during an official 9-Hole Event).
For the more competitive players, this is a great way to engage interest and spark competition. Operation 36 isn’t just for beginner golfers! This program has helped produce MPSSAA State Championship Medalists and Team Champions during the 2024 and 2025 season.

Proven Results:
Operation 36 requires precision and attention to details. By students logging their scores and training sessions into the Operation 36 app, we can analyze each players performance and discover weaknesses in their game or practice habits.
Using the Operation 36 app, we were able to prove great results! Our All-Time program totals include:
- 176 Golfers Created (who pass level 1)
- 4200+ Total Strokes Lost
- This is the number of strokes that a player improves from one round to another, based on their baseline score in official 9-Hole Events
- Example) A player shoots 45 from Level 1, then shoots 37 their next round from Level 1. That player has 8 Total Strokes Lost
- 548 Formal Rounds of Golf by students in 2025
- 1371 Hours of Training logged into the Operation 36 App in 2025
MCG's Operation 36 Program is Ranked 8th in The Nation:
We're thrilled to announce a fantastic achievement in the April Global Challenge hosted by Operation 36! MCG Academy has proudly secured the 8th position on the leaderboard, amassing a total of 19,940 points. This accomplishment highlights the dedication and effort of our students who actively engaged in the program, earning points through their consistent training sessions and rounds of golf, diligently logged into the app.
Since then, MCG has ranked in the Top 10 of the Operation 36 Global Ranks two more times (May and July).
Junior Development Model:
The Junior Development Model is a tool that Operation 36 coaches have access to which is a great way to enhance goal setting and track progress. A player can set forth of one of 5 pathways:
- College Track (Handicap Projection, 0 or Better)
- Competitor Track (Handicap Projection, 1 – 10)
- Recreational Track (Handicap Projection, 10 – 20)
- Social Track (Handicap Projection, 20 – 29)
- Experimental Track (Handicap Projection, 30+)
Operation 36 9-Hole Events
9-Hole Events are where players go onto the golf course in a formal setting and test their skills. Every player starts from “Level 1,” which means all 9 of their holes are played from 25 yards away from the hole. If the player shoots a combined score of 36 or better, they graduate to “Level 2” (50 yards) during their next 9-Hole Event.

Operation 36 Junior Coaching Programs
These programs are designed to help players learn the necessary skills to beat 36. We offer a variety of different coaching programs for different skill levels and age groups. Specific dates and times are available on our Operation 36 Community Landing Page (Click “Join Now”).
Beginner Coaching Programs take students directly through the Operation 36 Curriculum that can be found on their app. Beginners go through Curriculum Levels 1 and 2. This program is meant for golfers who are in the beginner phase of Operation 36, which consists of Levels 1, 2, and 3 (Even if a player is at Level 3, we need to ensure that they have the baseline understanding and know the Level 1 and 2 material of the curriculum).
Intermediate Coaching Program take students directly through the Operation 36 Curriculum that can be found on their app. Intermediates go through Levels 3 and 4. This program is meant for golfers who are in the intermediate phase of Operation 36, which consists of Levels 4 and 5 (Even if a player is at Level 5, we need to ensure that they have the baseline understanding and know the Level 3 and 4 material of the curriculum).
Supervised Practice Programs is a chance for students to learn what Purposeful Practice means. Students will alternate through topics such as Putting, Short Game and Full Swing amongst the sessions. Students will learn how to set up their own drills/games and log improvement all while under the supervision of one of our Operation 36 coaches.
On Course Coaching Program is a Needwood Executive 9 exclusive special with Operation 36 Master Coach, Brent Wilkerson. During this 6-Week program, students are on the golf course for all sessions! Learning course management strategies, gathering valuable practice time with the eyes of their golf coach on the course with them, and it also is more fun to learn on the actual field of play!
Path to Varsity is Invite Only programs run specifically by Coach Brent Wilkerson. These programs are designed for the serious golfer who is seeking to make their High School Varsity Golf Team Students are coached through a philosophy of Precision In = Precision Out. Students are provided a 20-page Program Workbook upon day 1 of each Semester. ***Please note that the MCG Junior Coaching Program is separate from Operation 36. The MCG weekly Junior Golf Classes are entry level classes for various ages. Operation 36 is best for students who have basic golfing knowledge and previous experience playing the game of golf.
