In 2025, Operation 36 Students at MCG averaged 10 strokes off their scores in official 9-Hole Events.

Our Story with Operation 36:
For years, we have had an extremely successful Entry Level program for Adults and Junior golfers at MCG. However, the progression as a golfer then hit a wall, we didn’t have a clear pathway to go from a Novice to an Intermediate golfer, or better! Now we have our solution: Operation 36!
We have been running Operation 36 at Falls Road for the past 3 years and have become a highly recognized program. In 2026, we are opening the doors to everyone!
Is Operation 36 for Adults or Junior Golfers?
Operation 36 is a larger Adult program across the country than it is a Junior program. We started Operation 36 at MCG for Juniors only because our juniors didn’t have an easy way to learn how to play on the golf course. For adults, we had leagues, which sufficed for the time. However; the leagues aren’t an environment to learn without consequence. Operation 36 is your space to learn how to play ON THE COURSE, not just the driving range. Golf is played on the course, not the driving range. It is imperative that a student and coach spend time on the course together or else learning with be limited. Plus, who doesn’t want to learn while playing on the course!
Is Operation 36 for Beginners Only?
While Operation 36 is an amazing program for beginner golfers, intermediate and advanced golfers love Operation 36. Sometimes the mission is about beating 36, but it could be so much more. Set your target score for 27 instead, get your total putts under 16 total for all 9-Holes, Get to Level 10 without failing! Is Operation 36 a Good Fit for Women?
If you were to teach someone how to ski, would you start them on the Double Black Diamond slope? Of course not, so why do we start our female golfers from the “Forward or Ladies Tees?” In Operation 36, the Ladies Tees are Level 6, which is an ADVANCED level in the program. You’re missing all of the important steps!
For every woman who has felt unwelcome, rushed, or intimidated going out on the golf course, Operation 36 is for you. We will start you from 25 yards away from the green for ALL 9-HOLES! You learn how to play on the course, you will not feel rushed, you get to focus more on the time with friends and meeting new people and you will have fun!

Course Record Scoreboard:
Operation 36 celebrates success! We record and recognize our best performances over the years with our Course Record Scoreboard. These are the best scores shot for each level of Operation 36 at any MCG course (during an official 9-Hole Event).
For the more competitive players, this is a great way to engage interest and spark competition. Operation 36 isn’t just for beginner golfers! This program has helped produce MPSSAA State Championship Medalists and Team Champions during the 2024 and 2025 season.

Proven Results:
Operation 36 requires precision and attention to details. By students logging their scores and training sessions into the Operation 36 app, we can analyze each players performance and discover weaknesses in their game or practice habits.
Using the Operation 36 app, we were able to prove great results! Our All-Time program totals include:
- 176 Golfers Created (who pass level 1)
- 4200+ Total Strokes Lost program wide
- This is the number of strokes that a player improves from one round to another, based on their baseline score in official 9-Hole Events
- Example) A player shoots 45 from Level 1, then shoots 37 their next round from Level 1. That player has 8 Total Strokes Lost
- 548 Formal Rounds of Golf by students in 2025
- 1371 Hours of Training logged into the Operation 36 App in 2025
MCG's Operation 36 Program Is Ranked 8th In the Nation:
We're thrilled to announce a fantastic achievement in the April Global Challenge hosted by Operation 36! MCG Academy has proudly secured the 8th position on the leaderboard, amassing a total of 19,940 points. This accomplishment highlights the dedication and effort of our students who actively engaged in the program, earning points through their consistent training sessions and rounds of golf, diligently logged into the app. Since then, MCG has ranked in the Top 10 of the Operation 36 Global Ranks two more times (May and July).
Operation 36 9-Hole Events
9-Hole Events are where players go onto the golf course in a formal setting and test their skills. Every player starts from “Level 1,” which means all 9 of their holes are played from 25 yards away from the hole. If the player shoots a combined score of 36 or better, they graduate to “Level 2” (50 yards) during their next 9-Hole Event.

Operation 36 Adult Coaching Programs
These programs are designed to help players learn the necessary skills to beat 36. We offer a variety of different coaching programs for different skill levels and age groups. Specific dates and times are available on our Operation 36 Community Landing Page (Click “Join Now”).
Adult Coaching Programs allows parents and adults the opportunity to improve their skillset and learn how to play golf ON THE COURSE without the intimidation! If I were to learn how to ski by starting on the double black diamond slope, I wouldn’t enjoy myself very much! That’s why we start from 25 yards. It’s harder than it looks, but it’s a fair challenge. Starting from the “Forward Tee Box” is our 6th level and considered an Advanced Stage of the Operation 36 program! Adult Coaching Programs are tailored for Beginner and Intermediate Golfers to help you learn golf in a step-by-step approach.
Beginner Coaching Programs take students directly through the Operation 36 Curriculum that can be found on their app. Beginners go through Curriculum Levels 1 and 2. This program is meant for golfers who are in the beginner phase of Operation 36, which consists of Levels 1, 2, and 3 (Even if a player is at Level 3, we need to ensure that they have the baseline understanding and know the Level 1 and 2 material of the curriculum).
Intermediate Coaching Program take students directly through the Operation 36 Curriculum that can be found on their app. Intermediates go through Levels 3 and 4. This program is meant for golfers who are in the intermediate phase of Operation 36, which consists of Levels 4 and 5 (Even if a player is at Level 5, we need to ensure that they have the baseline understanding and know the Level 3 and 4 material of the curriculum). We are anticipating a Fall series of Intermediate classes for our Adults.
***Please note that the MCG Adult Academy Level 1 through Level 4 classes are separate from Operation 36. The MCG Classes for Level 1 and 2 are entry level classes and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that a golfer participates in those first two classes BEFORE they participate in their first 9-Hole Event. Operation 36 is best for students who have basic golfing knowledge, which you will learn in our Adult Level 1 and Level 2 classes!
